Well known in the Brooklyn music scene, she has performed at a variety of showcases including the STAND Fundraiser alongside Kristin Sudeikis. She is a crowd favorite, at "the historic" Nuyorican Poets Lounge, and has toured across the country performing in Nashville, Kansas City, and Los Angeles, CA. Along with her extensive performance experience, she has a genuine gift in songwriting, which offered her the opportunity to co-write and release a joint EP called “Autumn Cadence” with producer Sean Millroy.

Her unique style can be attributed to her upbringing in a household where music was an integral facet of every activity - Vivaldi accompanied daily chores while Davis served as a backdrop to family reading time. She was introduced to artists like Sade, Tracy Chapman, Maxwell and Aretha Franklin, who's passionate expression through music helped inspire and propel her into the arts. These moments were of vital importance in molding her musical ability as was her classical and contemporary musical education through conservatory and high school.

Itanza Saraz puts her heart and soul into her original music and attracts listeners of all kinds, influenced by a wide range of R&B, Neo-soul, folk and alternative artists, including Lianne La Havas, James Blake, Frank Ocean, Mumford and Sons, Bon Iver and SZA. She has the ability to elicit a strong emotional response and attachment to the story she weaves through her silky and impassioned voice.

Itanza Saraz is currently working on an acoustic EP. Stay connected and be the first to hear her new releases.
