Sixteen years ago, a FREE event was created that changed the dynamics of the largest historic neighborhoods in Los Angeles. The West Adams Avenues Jazz & Music Festival. • Covered by LA Weekly
• Three full nights of music
• Dancing in the streets
• Activities for children
• Arts, crafts and Jewelry from local artisans

2016 ANNUAL JUNETEENTH MUSIC FESTIVAL
Itanza Saraz will be performing at the 2016 Annual Juneteenth Music Festival in Denver, CO!
"Juneteenth is the oldest known celebration commemorating the ending of slavery in the United States. Dating back to 1865, it was on June 19th that Union soldiers, led by Major General Gordon Granger, landed at Galveston, Texas with news that the war had ended and that the enslaved were now free.
Our mission is to celebrate freedom by engaging the community with the historical significance of Juneteenth; to further strengthen ties between Denver, Colorado’s Historic Five Points Neighborhood and its neighbors.
The Juneteenth Music Festival facilitates events and entities that promote these goals and those that create a framework for economic and educational empowerment in youth and adults."
