Her work as a performer has taken her across the United States and internationally, including a domestic tour with stops in Nashville, Kansas City, and Los Angeles, as well as performances abroad. She has been a featured Sofar Sounds performer in Chicago, New York, and Los Angeles, and has appeared at respected venues including the Nuyorican Poets Café.

In addition to her live work, Itanza is a gifted songwriter whose music blends elements of R&B, neo-soul, folk, and alternative. Her influences range from artists such as Sade, Tracy Chapman, and Aretha Franklin to contemporary voices like Lianne La Havas, Frank Ocean, and SZA.
